Malware Removal Tool You Many Want To Take A Look At.

Malicious software, that is what malware is. It is designed to get in to your computer without you knowing or allowing it. These bad things that fall under the malware title are things like Trojan horses, spyware, worms or computer viruses. It is not the same as defective software. Legit software which has a legitimate purpose but contains harmful bug would not fall into this category.

How does it get on my computer?
The most common way for malware to hit your computer is through your email or just surfing the net, in other words, the Internet.

Why do 'they' do this to me?
Well, at first, people just used these kind of things as a prank or a joke. Kind of a 'hey, look what I can do!' kind of thing. But now they are motivated by profit. For instance, spyware programs can be designed to monitor your web browsing and display unsolicited advertisements to your computer.

Viruses and Worms
A virus will infect software your computer. When run that program, it will spread the virus to other software on your computer.

A worm will transmit itself over a network to infect other computers. Not good.

Trojan horses
For this junk to serve its purpose on your computer, it has to get on there without you knowing, thus a Trojan horse. A common way that spyware sneaks in as a Trojan horse is when it is paired up with a piece of software that you actually want and you download it from the Internet.

Anti-malware programs
These programs will provide REAL TIME protection against the installation of malware on your computer. Or they can be used for just detecting and removing malware that has already been installed onto your computer.

Here are some Malware removal tools. We have, luckily, never had to use any of these. These are the top ranked at CNET, which is a very highly respected software site:

Free Tools
The Most Popular, the Editor's Top Pick, and the top user ratings ranking goes to ZoneAlarm Anti-Spyware.

Paid Tools
Most popular and top Editor's pick goes to Kaspersky Anti-Virus.

Again, we have never used either, but they seem to be worth taking a look at if you are having a problem.
