You got to have it if you want any sound to come out of your computer. No if, ands, or buts. If you want to listen to tunes through Windows Media Player, watch videos on youtube, or to check out the newest Dave Matthews CD, you have got to have this. You can do a search and try to download it, either from a website or some kind of Google Adsense ad. It may work. It may not. Here is what you can do:
- Go to the windows or microsoft website and search for it. See if you can find it. You can trust what you find there usually.
- Check out this program called Driver Robot. It scans your computer's hardware against a list of over one million device drivers. Set it, forget it.

What Are all these Drivers? They are specialized pieces of software that allow Windows to communicate with other software programs and hardware on your computer. If you don't have them, hardware on your computer is not going to work right. So, what is the big deal? A Corrupt or outdated driver will more times than not, create file errors on your computer. Why do I have this problem in the first place? It could be uninstalling and reinstalling different programs or upgrading software and/or hardware. Of course, spyware and virus infections can become corrupt and can cause your drivers to become outdated for sure. Like I said, check microsoft and windows.
